This route is a loop. So you can join in from Vloesberg. The Teirlinck route starts in Brakel and takes you through a hilly landscape with small roads, numerous farms and a few small villages, each with its own charm. You pass Zegelsem, the birthplace of the literary scholars Isidoor and Herman Teirlinck, the beautiful village square of Michelbeke, Elst, the castle of Lilare along the Zwalm, the green Toeppark and the Verrebeekmolen in Opbrakel.

The Pottelbergbos or D'Hoppebos is a forest near D'Hoppe/La Houppe in Flobecq/Vloesberg. The forest is located in the very relief-rich landscape of the Pays des Collines, with steep valley walls, rolling hills and deeply incised stream valleys.
The Livierenbos/Bois de la Louvière is part of the forest belt on the witness hills of the region. The forest area is located right on the language border in the area between the municipalities of Brakel (Flemish Ardennes) and Flobecq (Pays des Collines).
